New Food Pyramid Chart

 

 

There were 22 rounds of revision to create this Food Guide.  Pyramid. It's based on nutritional knowledge gleaned from hundreds of health books and thousands of hours of study.

The purpose of this Food Guide Pyramid is to help you be healthy, eat nutritionally healthy foods and not to generate healthy profits for Big Business (which seems to be the purpose of the USDA's Food Guide Pyramid)

It has been twelve years since the United States Department of Agriculture has updated the Food Pyramid.

Most of us are familiar with the old one. That food pyramid said you should eat more foods from the bottom of the pyramid with foods to be eaten in smaller amounts on the top. But today, Americans are more overweight than ever, which tends to suggest that the old food pyramid wasn't very useful, or even followed.

The New Food Pyramid is an inverse pyramid. Notice that it has two sides.  It has a red side for pain and disease, and a green side for optimum health.  It then lists the foods to be eaten and the benefits of eating them.
