Food label Terminology Breakdown
Fat free
Less than 0.5 grams of fat
Low fat
3 grams or less of fat
Reduced (or less) fat
25 percent less fat (than a standard serving of the original food)
Light
A third fewer calories or 50 percent less fat (than a standard serving of the original food)
